Amidst the lush hills of Santo Antonio de Amparo lies Fazenda Paradiso, a specialty coffee farm purchased by a husband and wife team after turning the tender age of 65. Vicente de Paulo Pereira and Martha Velloso Pereira, who was in her final treatments for breast cancer during the process of the purchase, decided to pursue a dream of cultivating some of the region's finest specialty coffee, and R11A5 continues its pursuit of excellence.
This full-bodied, Brazilian Bourbon bean is particularly flavorful for its compact size, showcasing a soft brown-sugar dusted, creamy almond nougat experience at the start of the cup, followed by a vibrant, syrupy red cherry sweetness that lingers into the aftertaste. It's a dynamic and well-balanced coffee that's both versatile and unique.
At The Brew Lab, we enjoy R11A5 on espresso and pourover. It's got great depth in a shot, and the clarity of the pourover pairs well with the syrupy body of the coffee. So, if you're looking for a full-bodied cup with red fruit and brown sugar sweetness, R11A5 Brazil from the Pereiras and Fazendo Paradiso is the one for you.
